The Knock is a metaphorical project, referring to the greek mythology about the three sister of fate (Moira) and discussing the subject of destiny. Moira spin, measure and cut the thread of each beings life. The man has a desire and dream like every human, stored in the metaphor of flowers. He locks them away to keep their beauty, though unable to create their beauty in real life, real soil. During his sleep he is haunted by a strange sound of a knocking, later he even hears it in real life. The borders between reality and a world in a parallel, spirit universe seem to melt or become visible for him. His senses are heightened, as his life is destined for an end.
With the little bag from those three mysterious woman, he is given one choice: Influence the growth of his flowers or let the outcome be ruled by nature. He chooses to control. His thread of life is cut by the three women, a destiny that is inevitable over time.
